Kinetic Garment Design
In the garment, I challenge the idea of vulnerability equating to weakness and aim to express the invisible pain people endure. Pain is beautiful yet torturous. Vulnerability is not weakness but the most powerful strength a person has.
Cut and sew dress with hand embroidery and beading.

Beautiful suffering, entertainment, and being ripped apart
are the keywords I used to start concepting.

How I Got There
I started with multiple muslin drafts. From a drapped basic block to a muslin draft that mimicked my drawing, to a draft that I adapted to relate more to my design goals.

For the beaded and felted areas, I worked in sections and layers to create a semi-realistic texture.

Experimental Photography
To explore the ideas and the effects of authority I wanted to take a set of pictures that ask the viewer if what is happening is acceptable?
